As you all know from previous posts, I am a big believer in creating new adventures in retirement and in life, in general. When I retired as a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial in 2005, I continued to work part-time with the advisor who bought my accounts, and I started a retirement coaching business. In 2008, I retired from Ameriprise altogether, and thought I was retired from the financial arena and free to focus on retirement coaching on the non-financial aspects of retirment. With all that’s happened to people and their financial situations in the last couple of years, my friends urged me to include financial advice once again as part of planning, telling me that I had too much knowledge not to share it. Before I left for Panama, I was approached by Ibis Financial Group, here in Boca Raton, to come with them to do financial planning, and advise on investments and insurance. As of June 1st, I am now a Financial Advisor with that firm. It is exciting to work with people again as part of a team, learning about new products that have emerged in the last 5 years, and to have the opportunity to help people in this manner once again.
