Now you have the opportunity to combine leisure, family, learning, attention to health in a richer lifestyle than ever before!  Maybe this new lifestyle will include a new career or a more satisfying spiritual dimension.  People are living longer and healthier lives in retirement.  This is not your parent’s retirement!  The New Retirement is an oppportunity for a richer lifestyle for more people than ever before.  But most people will need some guidance in achieving this, either because they haven’t had the time or energy to focus on what they really want for themselves or because they don’t have experience in creating new lifestyles.

IS RETIREMENT PLANNING RIGHT FOR YOU?

The ideal time to start planning for retirement is 5 – 10 years before the anticipated retirement date.  This gives you time to put all the elements in place, including finances, so that you are ready for the challenges of change on day one.  However, it is also for those who find themselves unexpectedly retired and need to develop a plan fast!  Finally, it is also for that person who looked forward to retirement, planned for it financially, and has enjoyed the leisure, the travel, the golf, tennis and bridge, but finds they are restless, not feeling relevant and want something new for themselves, but never developed the techniques needed to create  it.

COACHING SERVICES:

PERSONAL COACHING CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN CREATING THAT NEW LIFESTYLE!

Coaching is a technology of personal and professional development based on concepts from sports, business, spirituality, psychology and organizational development.  It’s for passionate people who want more from their personal and business lives.  A coach helps them set rewarding goals, develop a strategy to achieve them and provide support throughout the process.  Coaching begins with a free consultation to get to know each other.  The coach wants to hear about the client’s goals, needs, and problems.  The client wants to get comfortable with the coach.  Coaching works when:  the client is willing to grow, and there is a gap between where they are now and where they want to be.  Talking about options with someone who can listen is often enough to have it all become very clear.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

After the initial discussion, the client begins by taking a Retirement Success Profile administered online which measures how prepared they are for this career/life transition.  This provides the focus for the individual coaching sessions, a series of half hour coaching sessions per month.  Coaching sessions are by phone.  In between sessions, I am available for questions by e-mail or a quick call if you need help.  Clients will also receive various exercises and a copy of “The New Retirement-Discovering Your Dream”.  A minimum commitment of three months is necessary in order to build trust and really get the benefit of a coach relationship.  I limit the number of clients I work with in order to maintain a quality relationship and only work with clients with whom I have a good fit.  The end result:  you will create an “on purpose” retirement plan for yourself around six key areas:  career/work, family &  relationships, finance and insurance, health and wellness, leisure and social, personal and spiritual development.

SPEAKING AND WORKSHOPS:

Group workshops:  For corporations, club and church organizations, group workshops covering the six areas of retirment planning are available, with participants completing an online LifeOptions questionnaire to determine their level of preparation in the areas of career and work, health and wellness, finance and insurance, family and relationships, leisure and social and personal development.
